今日ようやくグリーンカードの面接が終わり、無事に発行される事になり、やっと日本に帰れる事が決まった。今年で100歳を迎えた祖母との約束「智ちゃんが帰るまで死なずに待ってる」を果たせると思い実家に連絡。今日のほぼ同じ頃の明け方に祖母は旅立った。5年間も待たせて、結局約束も果たせなかった。人生はいつもほんの少しだけ遅すぎる。やっと会えると思ったのに。ごめんね、おばあちゃん。
Had a green card interview and got approved. Finally I can go back to Japan. The promise with my last grandma who turned 100 years old “I won’t die until I will meet you, Tomo-chan”. I thought finally I will be able to keep promise with her and called my family. Almost the same time, she departed to heaven. I made her wait for 5 years and couldn’t keep our promise.
