From @stanfordbeachvb to the FIVB world tour. 😎 My junior year at Stanford was the first year they started the beach volleyball program. So, I played beach in addition to indoor for my last two years at school. That being said, the program was in the very beginning stages of creation & construction, and our entire indoor team was thrown into the sand to be more or less the guinea pigs for it. Most of the girls weren’t nearly as thrilled as I was. 😂 SURPRISE: @britthow & I were partners for a little bit! She definitely caught the sand bug, and played beach at Pepperdine after finishing at Stanford. Now we find ourselves training together once again in the @usavbeach gym, just like the old days in our Stanford weight room.
