With one of the most breathtaking museum entrances I’ve ever seen, the Berber Museum at the Jardin Majorelle is a fantastic introduction to the material culture of Berber life.... from tea drinking to weaving to religion. The most astonishing discovery I made was that Judaism was widespread amongst the Berber. In the museum there were Hebrew writings and the menorah on display.. It totally makes sense with Morocco being such an axis for trade.
But the most SPECTACULAR is the showcases with female Berber jewelry! Each jewelry combination came from a different region showcasing the diversity of style.
The lighting in the room took my breath away - it created a fantastic stellar shroud.... like you were gazing under thousands of stars in the desert! #DestinationIMAN
