The greatest gift as an opening act is having a front row seat to watch and learn how successful artists steer their ships. Anyone who knows me knows I have always been a Kelly super fan, but after watching her flawlessly navigate a major tour while taping The Voice and being a wife and momma while never missing a note or a beat AND being kind to everyone and making sure we were all taken care of gave me a whole new lense of respect and love for this woman. And more than all of that, the biggest lesson and reminder from this tour is the beauty in authenticity. Kelly is the most open, warm, NORMAL, and not scared to speak her mind kind of spirit, and in a society that’s filtered and tuned to perfection, she reminded me that what’s more likable than being perfect is being real. @kellyclarkson being from here in north Texas makes her even more awesome! It's a Texas thang ;) Btw, saw you both in Dallas, which is just an hour from me, y'all did great! I'm an alto and sing, rarely can I do any of Kelly's songs, bit ny sisters' sing and they borh can hit the high notes, in fact one of my two sister's sang Kelly's song Low for my birthday Saturday. My voice is hoarse ever since I saw Brad Paisley Fri night at Winstar Casino, I yelled to much in excitement. Anyway, I wish I could share ny video of her singing it, it's on my Instagram story for 11 more hrs :) I always dreamed, well we all three have dreamed of a singing career, which is why I love seeing Kelly and so many fellow Texans do so well.
