Safe and snug in mother’s arms. This little one is being cared for at a UNICEF-supported Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) in Uttar Pradesh, India. The facility has special equipment and expert staff to help deliver some of India’s smallest and sickest babies. In 2008 there were fewer than 20 SNCUs countrywide.
