I first came to know of him many many years prior when he was just starting out in the business. He was a guest on #TheFoxxhole radio show I co-hosted with @iamjamiefoxx and you could tell then this guy was a special one. He was hungry and focused and wanted BETTER for himself and his COMMUNITY. I was beyond proud to witness from the outside looking in- this young rookie in the biz- being SUCH a POSITIVE energy- mature into a real force in the rap game but more importantly into a father and into a partner to his queen. He was ALSO working on a documentary about #DrSebi a natural doctor that many know had cured several people of cancer and AIDS amongst many other things. He was found dead and while in police custody under very shady circumstances. This was something Nipsey was passionate about. Anyways- more on that at another time. Nipsey’s maturity and the example he set to evolve and to better himself is what I’ll remember about him most. Rest in paradise young King.
