Just found this old photo of Step 1: Clothing. 😬 There was a dress in this heap that I had worn to my 5th grade dance thinking “I might wear this again someday”. I actually packed it in my car when I drove across the country from PA to LA! ⁉️ Marie Kondo’s method truly changed my life. Since then I’ve naturally become a lot more hesitant of the new things I bring into my home, a lot more careful of the things I buy. Also, soon after I decluttered I became pregnant with River. It was as if I had made room for him in my life. Now I have all his toys and clothes to declutter! For some of the more sentimental pieces I didn’t want to forget but also didn’t want to physically hold on to, I took photos of them. I had a lot of custom made tees, hand made gifts, festival shirts with my name on them, a little blue romper that Erykah Badu said was cute as we passed each other backstage at a festival in Nice....YA KNOW — normal stuff like that. 🤓 Now I have photos of them that instantly remind me of all those moments in my life and also of my relationships with family and friends....and Erykah Badu.」3月31日 23時04分
