“Is social media killing the authenticity of Parkour?” is the topic of our first podcast. Link in my bio and story ☝🏼

Apparently it’s podcast season with a few popping up 😁🤷🏻♂️ since forums disappeared I feel like Parkour has been lacking a place to have some real talk, maybe this is a way of bringing it back and progressing the sport in a direction we care about.

The last 5 minutes of the podcast say it all for me. Nobody is forcing you to watch or do social media. If you just wanna go out and move, do it. And even if you do social media i highly recommend to leave your phone or camera at home for a day and just enjoy movement. It feels great 🙂

I do not think it is killing it, 'cause it ends up showing it to the world, but I do think that a photo or even a video doesn't make justice to the vibe associated with it. "It's not just a sport, it's a way of life!" - that's what I've been observing.

I do agree, mostly. There's a shift in focus from being a discipline meant to build strength and community to simply seeking bigger and riskier moves to be recognised. Not saying it's all bad, but it is the reality of things.

I think Social media made Parkour bigger, but people think its dangerous becouse off Social media. They see in Social media videos where people are on rooftops and do fails and almost Die.

Would love to have you on my podcast, if you ever want to chat about freelancing as a parkour athlete.
