So well that he’s taking me off Gonal and keeping me on the two other medications. (One less shot a night! Yessss). In short, we are trying to grow as many follicles (but not over mature them) as we can. Not every follicle will produce an egg. And not every follicle can be seen in the ultra sounds. The Centrotride medication prevents my body from ovulation so that we can grow as many follicles as we can. When we are close to extracting the eggs, I’ll have to use a “trigger shot.” That will induce ovulation (release the egg from the ovary) to induce the final stage of maturing the egg. It’s AMAZING what our bodies can do. I know it’s also it’s a blessing to be able to have this backup plan. I actually wish I thought about freezing my eggs in my 20’s. There just wasn’t enough information about it back then. This entire process has been pretty painless, required a couple trips to my doctors office and will take anywhere from 2-3 weeks to complete. Yes it comes with a price tag but I think it’s worth it. It’s allowing me the option to start the next chapter of my life, on my timeline. 🙌🏽」3月28日 1時33分
