As far as rock and roll legends go, few guitar solos carry quite the mystique as the one Prince unleashed on March 15, 2004, at the @rockhall induction ceremony to honor @georgeharrisonofficial.

To cap off a performance of Harrison's song “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” by @tompettyofficial, @jefflynneselo, Steve Winwood, and George’s son, Dhani, Prince (who was also inducted to the Hall of Fame that night) stepped out of the shadows to deliver a blazing three-minute guitar solo that would instantly go down in rock history.

💜🖤💜I watched this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, when it was on. I have seen this "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" performance more than a million times I am sure since. So many greats on stage. 💜😥💜 ☔️ 🎸 I remember at the end of the live performance. Hearing Dhani asking where did Prince go? I wanted to get a hug. 💜 I have always wondered if Dhani @dhaniharrison got his hug? Talked to Prince? 💜 George Harrison's son wowing on Prince! 😃 💜 🎸😘 @prince

Prince's performance was nothing short of genius. He truly proved once and for all that he was a true rocker with that performance. My jaw dropped when Prince was called onstage, and I nesrly lost my mind when he took that song and owned it at the end! I'm sute he got MUCH RESPECT from the rest of them o. Stage for that!
