Living with LADA has taught me patience, strength, determination and faith in my own abilities. It’s also exhausting, invariable, a rollercoaster of numbers, injections and constant calibrating. Accepting you will live with a debilitating disease for the rest of your life is daunting and overwhelming. But only if you let it be. I try to wake everyday and practice gratitude for all I have, the people I love and the family I hold close. Nothing else matters. Because the rest is all bullshit. We are here to love.
