Update: just to be clear folks, Cindy was refuting the idea that posing naked is only for 20-somethings, and celebrating the beauty of the body she has now. Which is something we can all get behind, right?

angieteater Naked in real life? Never too old. My 82 year old grandma was proud to wear a bikini! Naked as a commodity in the pages of a magazine? Yes. There is an expiration date on how sellable your naked image may be. I wonder if someone whose life’s work IS her body/imagine can distinguish the difference. Depends on what kind of naked you want to be. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ but this statement by a super model - taken at face value - seems to downplay “real bodies”. Many mature women DO feel confident naked even if they don’t feel (or want to be) “marketable”.

mirasho_official It’s so sad that people are taking her quote in such a negative context. If people feel that mature women are not “marketable” then they are reading (and taking advice from) the wrong material. Anyone who wants proof that naked at any age is a work of art should google Vince Hemingson’s ‘Tree of Life’ series... at a certain point one realizes that the worth of the body is not in its cosmetic appeal, but in its strength and stories... and those only get better with age. occasions_with_tracey I think you are as you perceive yourself to be.. if you love and embrace who you are at any age, there are no limitations except the ones that you set for yourself.. the question could be asked “how often do I allow the opinions of others influence the choices I make for myself and how have they impacted my life today?”

smilingbabypuppy I don’t think it’s the age, @cindycrawford you look great at your age & there are others that still do. Each individual has their own “sell-by-date.” There are some by the time they reach 20 no one wants to see them posing.
