joellah123 Such a massive industry - technical aspects of pattern cutting / fabric qualities etc can be taught through internships and experience if people are willing to pass down knowledge but thriving in a learning environment with like minded creatives is also beneficial. Depends on the person.

kenyaakt I would say you might need a degree to work in fashion because you would have more knowledge of the techniques used and the technicalities of it but when it comes to vision and creativity, a degree can’t teach you that.

0493___ Intern for free, learn the ropes, work on the side, read up on fashion books and you have yourself a free education. I think experience is more valuable than a paper.
