Today is #WorldDownsSyndromeDay and my family gets to love and share our lives with Katie. She has been supported by my angel of a mother for the last 12 years and living with my family for 9 years. She loves to dance, LOVES dressing up whether it’s her party frock or fancy dress (Halloween is an event 😂🤣🧙🏼‍♀️) loves a cocktail in a fancy glass 🍸(well mocktail) and loves to get done up... hair did, nails did, lippy on, READY. TO. SLAY.
She is my sister from another mister, a lovely man who’s name was Jack. Wherever you are we thank you for trusting my mum and our family with your daughter. Through the highs and lows... we have been changed for the better because of her! She teaches me everyday how to love deeply and passionate . Not a day goes by that I dnt smile because of my Babygirl. She is such a strong little lady and im bless. katiemarie542013 ❤️ my aunt just showed me this! Jack was my great uncle and me and Katie share the same first and last name! Years ago, my mum bought something for me from a boot sale, a bag I think, when she opened it up it said my full name in there!! It was Katie’s old bag..! What are the chances 😁

sewntogetherlife I cared for a man who had Downs syndrome and he was the happiest, most carefree person I’ve ever known. He always told me he had Up Syndrome! 😊😂❤️ They truly are a special group of people.
