Today The Duke of Sussex joined students at St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School in Acton for a tree planting project in support of the @queenscanopy initiative, with the @woodlandtrust.
The @queenscanopy’s free tree-planting campaign highlights the importance of trees and woods and the impact they have on the environment. The tree The Duke planted today will form part of the school’s new ‘Forest School’. The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy project was launched in 2015 when an appeal was made to all 53 Commonwealth nations to contribute areas of indigenous forest to be preserved in perpetuity to mark Her Majesty's lifetime of service to the Commonwealth.
