This morning, Instagram lifted the curtain on an idea that the company has been refining for years: A checkout function allowing users to store their credit card information and click-to-buy directly from the app. For the launch of Checkout, Instagram has partnered with an impressive roster of brands with everything from Burberry and Prada to H&M and Nike. For now, the list of participating brands are the only ones in the beta launch, but there is excitement around the evolution of this new technology.
