We've noticed a trend of countertops extending upwards into backsplashes. But Ashlie Broderic is taking quartz to new corners of the kitchen by framing these recessed shelves with the material too. They almost look like quartz-framed black-and-white still life portraits of porcelain dishware. Or maybe we've just been staring for too long?
