Happy Birthday to the baby girl who changed my life fourteen years ago today. Over the past fourteen years she has delighted me, inspired me, played me, enraged me, slimed me, terrified me, taught me, ignored me, embraced me, rejected me, pranked me, reassured me, forgotten me, remembered me, impressed me, touched me, challenged me, surprised me and occasionally - rolled her eyes at me.
Through all of it — I’ve experienced parenting - motherhood and fatherhood - patience and loss of patience — anger and forgiveness — basically new depths of unconditional love I never thought possible. And for all that - I am nothing short of eternally grateful.
Here’s to the next forever together zsazsa. I love you. Daddy.
