It’s been almost 80 years since Congress passed legislation to manage the beauty industry, but a new bill that was introduced last week would completely change the way we regulate cosmetics. The “Personal Care Products Safety Act” would enforce transparency on ingredient lists across the entire cosmetic industry, giving the FDA the power to ensure safety and enforce clarity across a largely unregulated industry.
