During the consultation, it is important to gauge how MUCH of a change a client is really comfortable with. Are they all-in and ready to swap out their long locks for a pixie? Do they want a #shortshag? Is keeping their length non-negotiable but they still want to feel reinvigorated? Taking time to talk through all of their hesitations, their comfort level and their #everyday #hairroutine is key to helping arrive at the perfect cut for them. ⠀

So what was your favorite haircut ever?(They show me a photo or describe) I pull up a modern version on my iPad. My last questions usually have to do with if they need to be able to ponytail or bun it for any reason, we would need to leave enough length. We decide on a length, and go. I walk them through cleansing, conditioning and styling products AND I explain how we are solving the problems they told me about earlier.
