This is the first selfie I’ve posted since May 2018. That’s a long time in the world of Instagram. The main reason? If I’m honest, because I’ve never really been a huge fan of my face. Sounds a little crazy doesn’t it? But I’ve always joked that “my face is my weak point” and “I’m not naturally pretty”. When I have shoots, I usually ask photographers to shoot from further away, as I don’t tend to like close up shots ? It’s also worth noting that I’m not really one to take selfies in general and my one from May 2018 was a #sustainableselfie with a reusable coffee up - a selfie with a purpose one might say ?? But here I am in March 2019 posting a selfie. Because I’ve finally decided that I like my face. It conveys emotion. It sheds tears and it smiles from ear to ear. It’s a huge part of me and I will no longer joke about it not being my strongest feature, I will embrace it. Every part of it. So here it is it all it’s glory and here’s to celebrating my face from now on ? #embraceyourself #selfacceptance #selflove #girlgains
