A few days ago I had the privilege of spending the day with Lidia and Esperanza, who started their OWN footloom business in a rural town in Guatemala, which is uncommon in this part of the country.
They are business women, entrepreneurs, master weavers, survivors, providers, they are caretakers, mothers, daughters, community builders and role models.
When asked what it means to be a woman, Lidia responded, “Power is being a woman.”
Happy International Women’s Day. Let’s celebrate everyday and raise up the women near and far to us.
