Today is dedicated to women everywhere that empower themselves and refuse to accept gender bias! Much of my work throughout the years showcases female figures and archetypes who represent courage, strength, and resilience. In honor of #InternationalWomensDay, here is the Target Exceptions rubylith I created for my solo exhibition Damaged in 2017. As an artist, I try to promote equality and fight injustice. jonathansimoes Do you know Marielle? She was a feminist politician who fought for the lgbt’s and other minorities rights in Brazil and was killed one year ago still with no one found guilty. She’s an icon for fighting the system. Would be amazing to have one of your arts celebrating her fight. It would put her message and her unsolved murder on internacional spotlights.
