Today I honor Shirley Temple Black. We know her mainly as a child star, but Mrs. Black went into politics and foreign service, serving as the Ambassador of Ghana, Ambassador of Czechoslovakia, and was the Chief of Protocol of the United States.
She also was on the board of directors for various large companies over the years, and even ran for Congress.
I’m so proud to have met her, and she’s been my idol since my childhood.
