What a great day of empowerment!!! Today I spoke about being a SURVIVOR of #DV & made it clear that I am no longer a VICTIM of it! So , now, I write for those women who do not speak, for those who do not have a voice bc they are so terrified, bc we are taught to respect fear more than ourselves. We've been taught that silence can save us, but it won't. BE A #SURVIVOR !!I will never keep silent nor apologize for my strength. Many of u might not know but I have a back piece tattoo. I choose #ink on my back not to cover the scars my abuser left me but to beautify what WAS to whats BECOME. Bc I am a women, ppl have tried to force their thinking on me, their boundaries on me. They have told me how to dress, how to behave, who I should be and where I can go. But no not me! I did all that once & it lead me into the arms of a psycho. Since then i chose to live for ME! I Don't live in the shadows of ppls judgement, but come at me & u better believe I'll have a word or two to say, bc my mind is beautiful and my thoughts should be heard. I'm far from perfect, but GOOD i am! Una mujer buena! My biggest advice to anyone reading this is to make your own choices in the light of ur own wisdom.Be urself! You are ur own best friend, the key to ur own happiness, and as soon as u understand that u can be happy! .
