Side note: finally realized I’m becoming more comfortable in my body because I wasn’t tempted to edit my upper arm thinner or fix my pants folding over at my stomach. Baby steps.

artsysapphics I’m really trying to feel comfortable with my body but all my friends are really negative with their bodies and it makes me feel so so bad about myself :( one of my friends is eating 300 calories a day, one hasn’t eaten over 1,000 in months and they’re all skinnier than me (they’re about 40 kilos and I’m like 50-55) and I’m eating about 2500 and it makes me feel like I’m having way too much?? I’m trying so hard to love myself, and I know my friends aren’t making me feel bad on purpose but it’s so harmful to be around but I literally have no other friends

mebe_kg My curly hair and my crooked nose are two things that I’ve struggled with seeing positively about myself. My friends over the years have told me how my “awkwardly hilarious” personality is something they love about me, and I give these two things the credit for that apparent awkward hilariousness that they bring out in me. I do still have the urge to bleach and straighten my hair (and dream about nose jobs lol) from time to time to feel like a “polished” “normal” version of myself, but I’m really working on that! Like you said, baby steps!!

olivesavoie I’m a really good writer and I’m proud of all the essays and poems I’ve written! I’m excited that my passion for writing will be used to inspire and educate my future students when I become an English teacher!
