Message for my actor friends: I’ve had three auditions in the last two days that I had so much fun preparing for. I decided to take this pic w/ my buddy Shrek at my last one today as I was leaving. When I looked at the photo, I couldn’t believe how much joy there is on my face! I left an audition happy ?!? ? I used to DREAD auditioning. I’d get so much anxiety, and my brain would just shut down as soon as I got into the waiting room. I allowed fear keep me from enjoying the experience of sharing my gift and my art. BUT NOT ANYMORE! Auditioning doesn’t have to be as hard as we make it. I’ve learned over the past year to just be prepared and when you get there be in the moment and most of all, never forget to have fun, this is what we love to do! I’ve started seeing casting directors and whomever else is in the room as an audience. Entertain them! I just want to send some encouragement out to all of you actors today, pilot season may have kicked our butts ? but we regroup and move forward! Never give up, enjoy the ride, and be proud of the work you’ve done thus far! Whatever your goals may be, give in to the journey and don’t get too caught up in the destination. Let the process make you happy ? I love you guys!
