“This was an accidental shot. After trying to get some images of the Hong Kong trams at a particular bend, I realised there were roadworks there. As the roadworks will ruin the wide angle shot that I was hoping for, I decided to ditch that and look for another photography opportunity. It was then I spotted your typical Hong Kong apartment facade in the distance and decided to try to shoot a long exposure shot instead. I initially wanted it to be in colour, but the simplicity of the B&W look made me think different.”
