We’ve interviewed @ibkamara - the stylist of our cover story. “I have always been fascinated by images, but not so much in the fashion space,” says our cover story stylist, Ibrahim Kamara. “I watched a lot of CNN and BBC as a kid, and I was heavily into politics and political visuals. I think this still informs my work.” Born in Sierra Leone, raised in Gambia, and living in London since he was 11 years old, Kamara is an ascendant force in the fashion universe. He first caught the industry’s attention with a project called ‘2026’, which he completed during his final year at the prestigious Central Saint Martins. He collected clothes across the city of Johannesburg, South Africa, and styled them in a way that commented upon (and questioned) the codes of black masculinity.
