The artist #johnbaldesarri took a frame from a movie I co-wrote and produced in 1984 called #irreconcilabledifferences and turned into a piece of art. That’s @ryan_o_neal under that green dot. Kind of great and kind of strange. The forward to the Baldessari book calls it the “aura of cinema”. ?

@nmeyers this is my favorite movie. I put it in parentheses above all others (above #1) much in the way PSH was above ranking as an actor. I cherish this movie. Every moment of it is wonderful. I still have a vhs copy of it (on display in my bookshelf in my living room) and in LA years ago I had a friend make a transfer of the vhs to dvd that is dark but watchable and has given me such joy. I would love if this movie became available on iTunes so that I could watch it in high quality sound and color. Shelley Long’s story idea (the octopus walking arm in arm in arm in arm...); “introducing Sharon Stone”; Sharon Stone singing; Shelly on NYE at the check out counter; He promised me forever bringing her back/ and the poster above the bed; Ryan’s transformation from sincere to slime; the famous scene by the pool where the tug at Drew; and of course, Drew herself. So wonderful. And when she speaks Spanish and stays with the only family who has truly heard and loved her...SUCH A BRILLIANT FILM. I ADORE YOU. And all your movies but this one you made with CS is welded into my heart. 💖☺️💖

@nmeyers I once auditioned for one of your films. I did not know the name of the film. At the time we were only told it was called "The Nancy Meyers project". During my audition, I was so very nervous that in the line I read: "I suggest you do whatever it takes to decompose" and as you know, the word was decompress LOL Thought you might get a kick out of that! As I was watching the film Something's Gotta Give... I heard those familiar lines read out and thought OMG are you kidding me!? The scene was with the great legend Jack Nicholson! Too bad for me but what a great, intelligent film!! Loved it!!! 👏❤️

This movie 🙏🏻 will be on my list in my book under most underrated film ever! Doesn’t get better than this movie. From Shelly Long screaming when her book hits #1 to Drew only speaking Spanish, to Sharon screaming at her mother 🤣 and sometimes the song that she sings during the remake of GWTW pops into my head at random times and Ryan was still so 🔥 I love this film so much Nancy! I want to send my book to you. I think yo will laugh!

My dear Nancy, I am your # 1 fan again, I would like to tell you that I have just finished a 7 year relationship, and it is an important event in my life because although I know it must end it hurts more than I thought and this goes back to me when Iris is helped by Arthur and he gives her films that helped her feel better I wanted to know if you wanted to be my Arthur and you would recommend similar movies

I loved that movie. So funny, yet so sad. The Drew Barrymore speech toward the end was brilliant. Disappointing that it isn’t available on iTunes or streaming somewhere. At least I can’t find it.
