Kicking things off is none other than our very own badass founder, @katewalsh ⁣⁣ ⁣ ✨ In 2010, Kate launched Boyfriend. She was ahead of her time and decided to forego the traditional licensing deals that celebrities were accustomed to with fragrance, and instead financed this venture on her own (today this is actually a more commonplace, but mind you this was nearly 10 years ago). The brand saw success at HSN and Sephora, but after a few years, Kate needed to put the brand on a hiatus so that she could focus on her acting career.⁣⁣ ⁣ ✨Over the years, the demand from fans of the fragrance was something she could no longer ignore, so in 2017 she partnered with @wearedmm to relaunch, rebrand, and bring back our beloved Boyfriend. Kate decided to relaunch as a direct-to-consumer brand, providing Boyfriend with more control over product development timelines, branding, and messaging. It was important for the brand to get the relaunch right with the fans before moving to retail. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✨Kate, who is very passionate about Boyfriend, makes it a point to be involved in every level of detail of the brand. She is a wise entrepreneur, a successful actress, and a fearless leader! Kate and Boyfriend have a lot of new things in store for this year, so buckle up and stay tuned for more!
