We had an inspiring visitor to #zippspeed and @SRAMRoad yesterday. Retired Indiana Pacer and winner of the NBA's first slam-dunk contest Darnell "Dr. Dunk" Hillman met with our staff over lunch. For the last couple of years, Darnell has been a SRAM and Zipp ambassador. He's found an exciting new chapter in cycling. He's 69 years old and stays active and healthy by riding, playing golf and stretching. He needs that strength and flexibility to conduct youth basketball camps in Indiana as part of his job with the Indiana Pacers. We loved hearing about his riding and his stories from his ABA and NBA playing days. We started working with select former professional athletes in non-cycling sports as a way of promoting the many benefits of cycling.
