I made the video for #TheFlower because I believe that the story of every family affected by gun violence is important to hear. While making the video and speaking to families, I was moved by the fact that gun violence has reached every corner of our society. Every family that I met told me that we need real action right now to reduce the likelihood of the loss that happened to them.  Now we have an opportunity to make real historic change.

1. Call your rep and tell them to vote YES on legislation to #UpdateBackgroundChecks and support #HR8! —Text CHECKS to 644-33 and @everytown will connect you. This is a bill that will update our background check laws to cover all gun sales and keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them. The vote will happen as soon as this week!
