?Youtube series, LINK IN MY BIO, go watch!?When we first arrived on our property where we are building @pnwcabinland there were nearly a dozen dilapidated, ramshackle shacks. It appeared as though decades earlier someone else had attempted to create a Cabinland here. There were generations of history on this property. Cabins built in the 50s, RVs from the 60s, and logging vehicles from the 70s. All left to rot and decay. Who knew what treasures or terrors we’d find?! Once we conquered our fears about the squatters or spirits that might reside within, we saw a potential gold mine! The shingles of one cabin, the siding of another. From posts to ovens. From wood stoves to windows. Everything that could be saved would be. Everything that could be repurposed on a new cabin would be. We now take the torch from those before us and create a Cabinland of our own. In every cabin will be pieces of the ones before and the tradition will live on. SWIPE to see just a few!
