I was happy to visit Burlington and Montpelier, Vermont yesterday, to cheer on their bipartisan push for better access to high quality daycare/early childhood education. Let’s get these beautiful little Vermonters ready to enter kindergarten and give their mamas the opportunity to go back into the workforce! Thank you @philscottvt, Lt. Gov. Zuckerman, @mitzijohnsonvt and Sen. Ashe for your leadership. Thank you @letsgrowkids for being badass women (and two guys!) iluvarcher I wish you'd have come to the Northeast Kingdom. If you want to talk about a struggle to afford to return to work after having a baby, come over here. I have a 1st grader, a preschooler, and a 5 month old. Due to the gaps in my resume, for lack of affordable child care and lack of maternity leave ability, it's hard to find decent work. The NEK has the highest poverty rate in the state. Yet nothing changes here.

judycabanaw Jennifer. Thank you for coming to VT. Two of my children are@teachers and I work with newborns and their families, I am a lactation consultant and “the big hospital” here. Push for anything you can, so hard to find child care here. Thanks!
