You know when you have an avocado that’s a little too mushy to eat, but you don’t want to throw it away because…it’s an avocado? Now we’ve got a solution! My skin guru Kind_Roots came up with a super easy avocado face mask for us. And it’s so good! We grabbed a few ingredients from wholefoods and we’re ready to go. ??
I swear this thing leaves your face feeling so soft and moisturized. AND this mask is made of all real food, so you can eat it (the leftovers, we don’t advise eating off your face). Try it! Recipe:
1/2 ripe avocado
2 tablespoons mashed papaya
1 tablespoon almond meal ⠀⠀
Instructions:
1. Mash the avocado into a small bowl with a fork (or your hands). 2. Mash the papaya into another small bowl with a fork (or your hands). 3. Let mashed papaya sit for 5 minutes then drain excess liquid.
4. Add the papaya and almond meal into your avocado and stir.
5. Add more almond meal if your mask looks runny.
8. Apply to your face, avoiding your eye area. It might feel weird at first, but go for it!
9. Leave on for 15-20 minutes.
10. When the time is up, gently rub mask into skin using a circular motion for about 30 seconds and rinse. Pat dry and enjoy your super soft and hydrated skin!
