Here’s a little explanation (and a bad history lesson) on this sketch: Foxes (kitsune) are a common subject in Japanese folklore. Stories depict them as intelligent beings, possessing paranormal abilities and the ability to shapeshift into human form. Foxes are particularly renowned for impersonating beautiful women. It was common belief that a women encountered alone, especially at dusk or night, could be a fox. Like this foxy lady.
