My household Gratitude journal- entry by 8 year old Zoe- 2014-
Having been wandering for the past three years, routines, morning rituals, and practices were tossed out the window. This was incredibly powerful for releasing the stories I told myself about who I am, opening the door to who I had become. But becoming never ends. And so feeling into the imbalances within me that exist in this moment (too much work, not enough play-more future thought than present moment etc,) I decided I need a little more awareness placed upon that which I am grateful for, which of course is that which I wish to expand. Because as @drjoedispenza says, “where you place your awareness is where you place your energy” and where you place your energy grows. So I returned to this journal and opened right up to this entry, which brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you Zoe! For expressing your joy of #surfing, #cats, #dogs and #play. I love this joyous feeling of fun your entry has brought me, for it is helping expand that aspect of my life in this very moment!

glitzdealer1 I use this philosophy in the behaviour management aspect of my teaching. As tempting as it is to tell off the whole class for the misdemeanours of a few, I demonstrate forgiveness and compassion. (The sanctions can be dealt with in a quiet moment). What I have found over the years is wherever you shine the spotlight, you’re going to get get more of THAT! Same principle.

taianinternalarts In Chinese practice we say ”Where yi (intent) goes qi (energy) will follow”. I think we need a little more ”less” in our lives rather than more ”more” if you know what I mean @niapeeples Save the energy for the things that matters basically. 😊
