For our October 2011 20th anniversary issue, we asked our longterm family of fashion collaborators to select one personal memento that sums up the last two decades for them and send it in to become part of our “time capsule”. ⏱⠀

Legendary @シャネル designer Karl Lagerfeld chose his iconic tie (of course!), with the words “That’s all I did.” painted on. Explaining his selection, he told us, “You see, that’s all I did in the last 20 years... Chanel and myself. A camera for all the photos I took. A palette for all the sketches I made.”⠀
