Meet #DanteStephenson who lives on a #pullmanTrain car from 1923. It was owned by the #Woolworth family, #caryGrant and #BarbaraHutton spent their #Honeymoon on it. Dante has loved trains since he was a boy, when he convinced a #railroad man on his paper route to give him a job. He was a #navySeal (the first #frogman unit), did secret missions during the #cubanmisslecrisis, was captured and then escaped; He ran a wildly successful jazz/supper club called #Dante’sDownTheHatch for 40 years—They had live alligators there, amongst other things, and it was one of #atlanta ‘s “favorite nightspots” for decades.
Dante is a treasure. He has lived an extraordinary life and has more stories than any 10 people put together— and any one of them is more interesting than anything you’ve ever heard.
