2019 Hueco Rock Rodeo!
This 2 week trip to Hueco Tanks is my start of getting back into shape and then off to Swiss for 2 months in March. I know that we all have our own peaks and valleys, but this one has honestly been one of the hardest for me, arguably harder than my major surgeries. ? Since last summer of 2018 I have gone through some BIG life changes, knee surgery again and then had a break from training/ climbing and so on. It was probably good for me mentally, but I also did put on 15lbs in that time. May not seem like a lot and I have always gone up and down, but more like from 117-121lbs. Now at 128lbs and have also been plagued with double elbow tendonitis for about 11 months now, which is starting to get better I think, I have finally been very motivated to get back into shape and healthy again! ? I wasn’t able to climb for just about all of December and started to climb again in January this year and have been steadily getting stronger. ☺️ I didn’t come to Hueco for the Rodeo this trip, but thought I would try since I was here. Definitely didn’t have my best climbing day, but that’s what I expected with my current fitness. It was a great training day and got myself up some climbs I have done quite a few times in the past, but they definitely felt a little harder yesterday. ?
