They say that how you are born says everything about the person you become. Sid, you entered the world kicking and screaming, bloated and blue at 42 weeks old. You looked like an old Jewish man with a jet black toupee and a Cuban cigar that may or may not have been your umbilical cord. The doctors had to physically pry you out of me the way I have to pry you out of the house for school each morning. You are strong willed and self assured in a way that your father and I could only dream to be. You are fair and kind and guilt ridden beyond your years. You have taught me to be patient, to not open things with my teeth, to always take my shoes off at the front door, to follow through on my commitments and to always buy chocolate at the airport. You will never truly know the depths to which your blind love and trust has shaped me into the person and mother I am today. You are the reason, the answer and the why. I will be yours forever and after ever and after that, kicking and screaming until I am bloated and blue. Happy Birthday, Sid. I love you. #five
