Science Partner - A Beautiful Beam • This song was written by a friend of ours, Tyler Despres, who unexpectedly died in 2016 at the age of 34. He was such a big reason we found a community of musicians when we moved to Denver - Tyler ran the open mic every Tuesday at the Meadowlark. He was such an incredible musician and whenever he, Jess DeNicola and Maria Kohler sang together like on this song, the whole bar stopped to listen. And hearing Tyler sing about how someone he lost is an angel, is the cosmos in a beautiful beam - it becomes about him. I miss him and I thank him for a song like this. - Wes
