From birth, to breastfeeding, to placenta encapsulation, to sleep training, to mum guilt, to postpartum, becoming a new mom is a life altering, magic and an incredibly isolating experience. It took me three years to get over the shock of my first born and my new identity. One of the biggest factors that made it hard for me to adjust was the fact that I had zero support (other than my husband and parents) and no community of women who I could lean on. Fast forward to today with my second daughter (pictured) and I have completely changed my postpartum period around. I will not do this alone anymore. One of the main supports for me is the @peanut app. It is a social app for mamas that has a community of over 600,000 women. It's a way to meet other mamas in your community with similar interests and similar aged children. You can arrange meetups, share experiences, ask questions and get answers from real mamas who relate to your experiences. @Peanut has helped me find the support and community I need.
