This was the first time I directed one of my own screenplays, and it wasn’t easy. Right before filming, we got hit by some strange state rules so my budget and filming time were reduced to approx $800,000 and approx 8-11 days (I can’t recall, I block out the horrible parts of my life.) And by the way, I had just become a mother. But so many of the professional crew and actors were astoundingly compassionate and fantastic human beings. As always, yes, some were turds but I can’t even recall their names or faces and hope they went to therapy to become nicer people. We got it made, on time, on budget and the film actually made money. Most importantly, my buddy John Corbett was at my side. He is my creative partner, my supportive pal, and it’s also very fun to kiss him. By the way, someone in the Marketing department photoshopped our heads onto these hot bods. ❤️
