#tacotuesday Pasta. Homemade riff on #hamburgerhelper. Another opportunity to use what I have and not buy more until I really need it.
How we did it ??(and i’m going on memory here because it was a lot of thrown together if you know what I mean). Cook some pasta (1/2 lb), drain
In a skillet:
1 lb ground pork (beef is great too), 2-3 tbs of Taco seasoning (I used @Flavorgod Seasonings) add 1/2 cup water and cook until absorbed.
1 cup @asgoodasitgetsnc salsa,
2 chipotle peppers mashed, optional
Salt and pepper to taste.
Add Cooked pasta and 1-2 cups of your favorite cheddar or mixture of cheese. I used cheddar and Mexican blend). Heat through until cheese is melty. Top with green onion or cilantro for some freshness.
And tortilla chips if you’re feeling naughty.
So good with a dollop of sour cream or hot sauce or both!
