This is how Yorkshire puddings celebrate Valentine’s. Stay in with a mountain of cool ice cream, molten chocolate, tender pears, all studded with almonds and amaretti biscuit.

Ingredients
1 x 220g pack frozen giant Yorkshire puddings
50g dark chocolate, finely chopped
50ml double cream
1 tbsp golden syrup
1 x 410g tin halved pears in syrup
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
2 tbsp flaked almonds, toasted, to serve
2 amaretti biscuits, crumbled, to serve

Method 
1. Heat the Yorkshire puddings to pack instructions. 
2. Meanwhile, put the chocolate, cream and golden syrup in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until smooth and glossy, then remove from the heat and stir in 1 tbsp boiling water. 
3. Fill each Yorkshire pudding with 3 pear halves and 2 scoops vanilla ice cream, then drizzle over the chocolate sauce. Sprinkle with the almonds and amaretti biscuits to serve.
