~ Shipping recycled wheel chairs overseas for children with disabilities ~

ボランティアしてきました☀️

We cleaned, fixed and packaged second-hand wheel chairs to be shipped overseas for children with disabilities!
・
It has been wonderful being involved in this activity for the past year - This NPO has sent more than 7300 wheel chairs to 23 countries in the last 15 years?♿️
・
With Japanese government covering the cost of customized wheel chairs for children with disabilities, families are able to purchase them with less burden. On the other side, this makes no market for second-hand wheel chairs in Japan??

With this background, we collect and ship wheel chairs in good condition to those in need overseas, who were unable to go outside and move freely.

It’s great that all of this process is done with so many volunteers willing to give!!

昨年から活動に携わっている当会。不要になった障害者用車椅子を集め、掃除・整備・梱包して、海外の子供達へ15年間送り続けています。
これまで届けたのは23カ国、7300台以上?♿️素晴らしい活動です✨
・
「何故国内でリサイクルしないの？♻️」と思うかもしれませんが、肢体不自由児の車椅子は９０％もの公的補助金が出るため低負担で購入でき、中古品の需要は低いのです。
また、障害者車椅子は一人一人にカスタマイズされて作られており、子供が成長するにつれ不要になった車椅子は破棄されています。

本来は一台10~30万円する高級品であり、性能も良い日本の車椅子。
破棄するのではなく、車椅子がない故に家に引きこもりの障害を持つ子供達のニーズに合わせ、海外へ送っています⛴☀️
