I feel like a lot of my work I keep behind the scenes but this is truly a moment for me to acknowledge how far I’ve come and the dedication and hard work over these last 15years.
Because it was not “over night success” there was no “connections”, money or famous family or friends.
Many of you and myself might look at success stories and think well how the F did they get there.
I’ve tried to be open and honest about my own journey which was filled with rejection, failure and self doubt.
And even when I had successes I felt imposter syndrome.
This is most definitely not me complaining. I’m hoping to share the truth because I’ve been there, not being able to buy @nandosuk ? having to move out of my 1 bed apartment in Lewisham because I didn’t have money left and not wanting to rely on or ask my parents after all they had already sacrificed raising me whilst they were at university (they didn’t even get married because they wanted to save up to raise me) love you both so much wouldn’t be here without you.
So to all of you, this isn’t the definition of success, you don’t need accolades or awards.
Find the joy in your small victories, in the love and energy that you give.
You are already a gift to the world, but if you do want something you need to dream, believe, plan, work your a$$ off to achieve.
Life isn’t an equal playing field - hopefully one day it will be but even if it doesn’t feel “fair” or you see other people doing or achieving your dreams don’t let that dishearten you.
You’re in your own lane, you can’t be them but they can’t be you!
So always be you... the day I stopped comparing myself to others my life changed so positively.
I’m grateful I can connect with you all and I want to create more video content to share everything I’ve learnt along the way - and stay tuned I have just got started... @aynswim ✨❤️
