🗣Dealing With Negativity, how do you deal with it? _ Be Prepared: Some of the worst days for me are the ones that catch me off guard. Have you ever had a day like that? When you wake up feeling good, having high expectations for the day, then it seems like you are the only one in the world who woke up on the right side of the bed. Every person you encounter in every direction seems to be a Negative Nancy. A Negative Ned. _ These are the times you need to be prepared for. You have to make up in your mind early that no matter what, you are going to find the positive in whatever you are doing or coming up against. Preparing yourself by making this decision can make it much easier to ignore everybody else’s negativity _ React Positively: This is easier said than done. Nothing is harder to me than trying to be the bigger person when someone is clearly in the wrong and a complete and utter horrible person in that moment. Do the kind thing anyway. At the end of the day, you want to rub off on them instead of the other way around. (And even if you don’t it tends to irritate people so much more than when you respond negatively, which makes me laugh. _ Remove Yourself from the Environment: When possible, simply remove yourself from the situation. You don’t HAVE to sit there in a negative environment and slowly feel all your positivity drain from your body. You can chose not to have that conversation right now. Make a choice to put yourself in the most ideal environment in the moment to keep your composure and sanity. _ Ignore It: This last one is another one that is easier said than done. Depending on where you negativity comes from, simply ignore it. It would take more energy from you to respond or react than it would to move on without even acknowledging it.
